May 6, 2023: Dublin Scioto High School – In the first game of the annual Dublin Triad, Coffman scored three runs in the sixth inning, but the Irish still won 7-3 in the first game on Saturday of the tourney.
Scioto fired up the offense in the first inning. Bella Jauregui’s sac fly scored one run for the Irish.
They then scored three runs in the third inning. Scioto’s big bats were led by Jauregui and Taylor Henry, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Henry took the win for the Irish. The hurler surrendered only three runs on three hits over seven innings and struck out a massive 14 batters.
Sarah Cady was in the circle for the Shamrocks. The pitcher surrendered four runs on four hits over two innings, striking out two and walking zero. Elise Williams threw four innings in relief.
Scioto scattered eight hits in the game. Jauregui and Leah Matter all managed multiple hits for the Irish. Each had two hits to lead Scioto to victory.
