Reynolds Dominates as Irish Crush Gray Wolves 14-1

April 22, 20250

Worthington Kilbourne Hig School, April 21, 2025:  Avery Reynolds was dealing on Monday night, racking up 13 strikeouts to lead the Irish to a dominant 14-1 victory over Kilbourne. The right-hander went the distance, tossing six strong innings, allowing just four hits and one earned run while issuing a single walk.

Dublin’s offense backed her up in a big way, pounding out 15 hits. Lyla Magnussen was a force at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double and two singles, driving in three runs. She wasn’t alone—Reynolds helped her own cause with three hits and three RBIs, while Alexis Richie, Abbi Clark, and Maria Wasko also turned in multi-hit performances.

The Irish got on the board early, capitalizing on a pair of Kilbourne errors in the top of the first. But the real damage came in the fifth, when Dublin exploded for six runs on six hits. Gigi Rodriguez and Clark each roped RBI doubles, followed by run-scoring hits from Magnussen, Richie, and a two-RBI single from Wasko.

Kilbourne’s #11 took the loss, throwing 4.2 innings and surrendering 10 runs—only five earned—on 12 hits. Despite the tough outing in the circle, #11 was a bright spot at the plate for the Gray Wolves, going a perfect 3-for-3 and driving in their lone run.

Dublin improves their record and looks to keep the momentum rolling as they return home Wednesday to face Westland.

Go Irish!
