The Ohio State University: On Sunday, March 16th, the team visited the OSU campus for a softball game between the Buckeyes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers!
After rain fell the previous day, and threatened to come down on Sunday, the weather held off long enough for the girls, the coaches, and parents to enjoy the game!
Ohio State secured a series win over No. 21 Nebraska with a dominant 12-6 victory, fueled by a powerful offensive performance featuring three home runs and 14 total hits. Taylor Cruse led the way, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, while Sami Bewick added three RBI of her own. Pitcher Lorin Boutte earned her 10th win of the season with four innings of relief work.
The Bucks won 2 out of 3 games for the weekend. And they are now 20-6-1, and have won three straight series against Nebraska and continue to showcase their offensive strength, averaging 9.2 runs per game over their last nine contests.
The announcer welcomed our team to the game and even flashed the Dublin Scioto name on the scoreboard. Our group cheered the loudest out of all the announcements.
The girls even managed to get “The Wave” going across the softball stadium!
UPDATE: Varsity and JV will scrimmage Westerville tomorrow at home, starting at 5:15PM
We’ll see you out there!
