Olentangy Berlin High School, May 16, 2025: And that’s the end of the regular season for Scioto! The Berlin Bears roared to life Friday night, blowing past Dublin 12-1 in a dominant showing fueled by a fourth-inning explosion.

Dublin got on the board first, taking advantage of a Bears error in the top of the fourth to plate their lone run. But hold on—Berlin wasn’t about to let that slide. In the bottom half, the Bears flipped the script, unloading for eight runs on six hits. The inning’s biggest punch? A sharp single up the middle from Paige Miles that drove in two and had the home dugout on its feet.

Addy DeVito was lights-out in the circle for Berlin, going six strong innings. The right-hander gave up just two hits and an unearned run while striking out six. On the other side, Dublin’s Alexis Richie took the loss after giving up five runs in three innings of work. Avery Reynolds came in to finish up the game.

Offensively, Miles was the spark plug, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs. B. Ison chipped in with two hits and helped ignite the base paths, swiping multiple bags alongside Adelynne Young and Madison Gorka. In total, the Bears ran wild with 13 stolen bases.

Wasko and Reynolds each tallied a hit for Dublin, who will look to bounce back Wednesday against Northland in the first game of the playoffs! Come out an support the ladies!
