Senior Night 2022!
Big win for the seniors last night!
Congrats on a great career to Caroline Piatt, Madi Comstock, and Sadie Jauregui! Thank you for all your hard work, determination, and Irish spirit!
Okay, on the game recap:
Dublin Scioto’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as the team defeated Franklin Heights 16-0 on Thursday evening! Alexis Richie coaxed a groundout from K. Wood to get the last out of the game.
Isabella Jauregui led the Irish to victory by driving in 5 runs! She went 2-for-3 at the plate, driving in runs on a groundout in the first, a double in the second, and a double in the third.
Scioto got things started in the first inning when Caroline Piatt doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Taylor Henry led things off on the rubber for the Irish. The righthander lasted two innings, allowing 0 hits and 0 runs while striking out 3 and walking none.
K. Tufford led things off in the circle for Falcons. The pitcher surrendered 16 runs on 10 hits over four innings, striking out 1 and walking 1.
Scioto saw the ball well last night, racking up 10 hits in the game. Sadie Jauregui, Faith Kinzer, and Isabella Jauregui all collected multiple hits for Dublin. Both Jaureguis and Kinzer each managed two hits to lead the team to victory!
