Dublin Scioto Declaws the Westerville South Wildcats by 10

April 3, 2023 – Dublin Scioto High School:  The Irish sailed to an easy victory over Westerville South, 12-2 on Monday afternoon!

Scioto got on the board in the first inning when Taylor Henry drove in 1 run on a single.

The Irish tallied four runs in the fourth inning.  Hunter Fadorsen, Lyla Magnussen, and Faith Kinzer each had RBIs in the big inning.

Henry led the Dublin to victory in the pitcher’s circle. The fireballer went five innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out nine and walking zero.

Honae took the loss for Westerville South. The hurler went two innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out two.

Dublin Scioto saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game.  Leah Matter, Bella Jauregui, Kinzer, and Henry all managed multiple hits for the Irish.  Matter went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Dublin Scioto Varsity Irish in hits.  And they didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jauregui had  ten chances in the field, the most on the team.

Paul led Westerville South with two hits in three at bats.

JV update: The Irish fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 20-9 loss to the JV Wildcats.  Despite the loss, the JV Irish did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Westerville South had 15 hits on the way to victory. Jackson was on the rubber for Dublin Scioto Junior Varsity Lady Irish. Jackson went five innings, allowing 20 runs on 15 hits. But she struck out an impressive 10 batters!

The Irish face Worthington Kilbourne – in a battle for Hard Road! – on their turf this Wednesday at 5:15!
